Welcome to Harley 'n' Co, a family owned and operated business named after our old staffy Harley. Our health journey began after a routine health check, the health check they give to, cough, grownups. Due to family history, I developed a prevention rather than cure attitude, I believed it's better to know now than find out the hard way later.
The results were less than ideal!
I was full of polyps, we embarked on a six year-round of check-ups and colonoscopies, finally to be told the removal of part of my bowel would be necessary, we asked our specialist if something could done, to which he replied, I have heard something about Omega 3 and fibre. We had been given a bag of ground Chia from friend, it had all the fibre and Omega 3 the doctor had mentioned,
The truth is, this was the first food label we had every read, cringe.
A year on my operation was cancelled, was it the chia? Hard to say, I know thing, I don't every want to run out.
The transformation didn't stop there, I was happier and more flexible, the aches and pains from rugby less noticeable and the fibre, let's just say I thought I was regular.
Fast forward to today, 17 years later, I am polyp free after a recent health check and enjoying life and peace of mind.
And so began the need for seed, not just any chia seed, the best we could find. Today I'm more aware of my body and what I eat and how it impacts my health.
